Time Life Pop Era 70s and 80s
The 1970\'s ushered in a new type of singer-songwriter. Artists such as James Taylor, Tony Orlando, Elton John and Carly Simon drew upon their folk roots to create a new type of pop music. It was a little bit of country, a little bit of rock n\' roll, and a little bit of disco too. Moving away from the turbulent times of the 1960\'s, with message-heavy and often politically-fueled songs; the music of the 1970\'s was pure, fun-loving and focused on feel-good themes, giving way to some of the most famous love songs of all time.
